Therapy Built Around Function

Physical therapy at Princeton Bone & Joint is designed to help patients move more comfortably, rebuild strength and return to the activities that matter to them. When therapy is part of orthopedic treatment, communication between the physician and rehabilitation team can help keep the plan coordinated from diagnosis through recovery.

After surgery

Recovery Is More Than an Exercise Sheet

Rehabilitation after orthopedic surgery is a progression. The plan changes as pain, swelling, motion, strength and confidence improve.

✓
Early mobility
Restore safe movement and confidence with everyday activities.
✓
Strength & control
Build strength and movement quality as healing progresses.
✓
Return to function
Work toward the activities, work demands and recreation that matter to you.

Your Orthopedic and Therapy Teams Can Work Together

Because physical therapy is part of the PBNJ practice, postoperative instructions, precautions and functional goals can be coordinated with the treating orthopedic team.
